This week's Huon News

In this week's Huon News we join students at the Huonville Town Hall to submit a petitions asking the Huon Valley Council to declare climate change an emergency.

We chat to Mayor Bec Enders and DarkLab's Leigh Carmichael about the mysterious tourism project slated for the Far South and find out when some more details will be revealed.

We ask re-elected Federal MP for Franklin Julie Collins and Mayor Bec Enders what is in store for the Huon Valley for the next three years under Scott Morrison's Liberal Government.

It was an amazing panel of human rights activists at DS Cafe last Friday night for IDAHOBIT, including LGBTQI activist Rodney Croome and human rights lawyer Robin Banks, and the Huon News was there to hear what they had to say about how far Tasmania has come since laws were changed decriminalising homosexuality and how far there is still to go.

In sport, we head to North Hobart Oval to see how the SFL representative team fared against the OSFA squad and have all the winners from the North Huon Cricket Club's awards presentation night.
