This week's Huon News

The Huon Valley Council's How Do You Like Them Apples? gala film night was enjoyed by families from all around the Huon Valley, Kelly, Pippa and Anthony Loberto (above, from left), travelled from Cygnet to enjoy the show, and you can read all about it in this week's Huon News.

We also hear Southwood Fibre's response to the email correspondence released to the Green's Dr Rosalie Woodruff under Right to Information legislation and the leaked development application documents.

We also dispel rumours that services at the Huonville Centrelink offices will be downgraded by the Federal Government.

Don't miss our rundown of this year's Mid Winter Festival coming up this weekend and find out who won those prized weekend passes in our competition.

The Huon Valley is getting behind the push to reduce single use plastics and we hear from The Local Cafe, Tassal, the Zayed Huon Energy Futures team and local government election candidate Bec Enders on what initiatives are in place and what we should be looking for to achieve a plastic free future.
