Clean sweeps and new teams were the features of the Huon Channel Cricket Association’s (HCCA) awards night on Friday, May 1.
In its first year, the Women’s division was present at the Awards Night, with various members from its four teams across the competition joining the HCCA season wrap-up.
The night started with recognition of some of the HCCA’s youngest members, awarding the Under 15 Premiers Margate Cricket Club with its Premiership flag, as well as awarding the Underage Player of the Year George “Toot” Carr Memorial Award to Oliver Coulson from Judbury Cricket Club.
