Piping hot lasagne and fresh salad greeted Huonville Primary School students on Tuesday, March 14, most only too eager to grab their plates and sit down at the long table to enjoy their lunch.
This is all a part of the State Government’s School Lunch Project, which commenced in 2022, committed to bringing nutritionally-balanced and delicious meals to students around Tasmania, Huonville Primary School the latest to join the second round of the Project.
An initiative of School Food Matters and sourced and prepared by Loaves and Fishes, meals have been popular so far, students experiencing and eating dishes like Moroccan chicken, fish burgers, cottage pie and vegetable curry.
