Willie Smith’s has taken the Best in Show award at the 2022 Australian Cider Awards held in Adelaide Hills.
Backed up by wins in the Best Traditional Cider, Best in Class 1 – New World Cider Dry and Best in Class 7 – Traditional Cider Medium categories, the Huon Valley cider producer was also marked as winner of the Most Successful Larger Producer award.
Judges were wowed by Willie Smith’s ciders’ “deep apple characters, balanced tannins and lingering, bold finish” as part of the 11th national Australian Cider show.
Represented by head cider maker Malcolm Freedman at the awards, Willie Smith’s said they were “truly humbled” by the awards.
