This year, Huonville High School’s (HHS) drama teacher challenged the 30 Year 9/10 students to work together to create an original play written with every students’ contribution.
The beginning of the play started with each student coming up with random characters and storylines.
Slowly, after two very robust lessons of discussion, they were able to identify the characters and a rough storyline for the production.
The students then broke down what they wanted to achieve in each scene, and from there, those involved in the scenes began scripting the dialogue.
The script was then put into one document, with minor editing to make sure the play flowed and was consistent.
