Big Hearts the soul of work

It was the completion of a cycle for local artist and actor Bonnie Sveen to set up for her first solo art exhibition at Reba Sear cafe in Huonville.

Not only has the cafe recently renovated the back of their building to accommodate a gallery space, but Reba Sear is just up the street from Bonnie’s parent’s first home.

“The weird thing about all of this is that I went to Huonville Primary and High School and I grew up in Ranelagh, spending the first 18 years of my life there,” Bonnie began.

“This place raised me, these streets raised me.

“This is like a completion of a cycle, seeing those hills again and to be able to do this, is a personal completion of a circle.”

While Bonnie has spent many years curating an impressive portfolio of acting roles and accomplishments, stepping her foot into the art world in a bigger way was something that came about at random.
