Huonville High School’s ZAYED Huon Energy Futures Team made an appearance at Franklin Primary School on Friday, June 10, bringing with them activities and workshops centred around sustainability.

The ZAYED team set up shop in the Grade 5/6 classroom, providing students with activities from the Price is Right on heating costs, a beeswax wraps station, an insulation test and a heating house project, which involved students testing materials such as glass, wood, tile and Perspex on a house model to test what would keep the house the warmest.
Coordinator of the ZAYED Huon Energy Futures Team Nel Smit said that the sustainability workshops provided great learning opportunities for both the Franklin Primary and Huonville High students.
