Clues in Valley for missing man

by Huon News

in Local News

An anonymous tip in a missing person’s case may be the key to discovering answers in a 14 year old mystery.

Nicola Sallese was 69 years old when he was declared missing on November 17, 2008.

Mr Sallese was last seen driving through Sheffield, Tasmania in his Toyota Camry sedan, with the search a statewide one, with Police confirming that locating Mr Sallese’s car will unlock clues as to where he should be.

When Mr Sallese first disappeared, his last contact with family was on November 16 and as Mr Sallese suffers from dementia, his lack of contact alarmed his family.

Whilst Mr Sallese was known to frequent the areas around Sheffield and Devonport, possible sightings have been reported all over Tasmania and it is also believed that he may have attempted to drive to Launceston or Hobart for personal reasons.

However, it is the recent discovery by the Sallese family of a tip that came from a local tourist in Tasmania at the time of Mr Sallese’s disappearance that has changed the angle of searching for the elderly man.
