“It is the little things that make a big difference”.
This is what drives Vicki Royer, winner of the Huon Valley Citizen of the Year Award, to make a contribution to her community.
The annual Huon Valley Council (HVC) Australia Day Awards ceremony was held in the afternoon on Wednesday, January 26 at The Franklin Palais and in the morning, a special citizenship ceremony was held to welcome Huon Valley’s new Australian citizens.
HVC Acting Mayor Sally Doyle said there are many people in the Huon Valley who make a real difference to their communities and to the people who live in them.
“Their contributions have added to the vibrancy and prosperity of our community,” Cr Doyle stated.
“Their drive and passion are inspiring and motivating.”
