The weekend of Friday, January 14 to Sunday, January 16 was a time for art, music and community at the Castle Forbes Bay Recreation Club, with the annual Art Exhibition showcase.

The exhibition, in its third year, featured two judging categories for artists this year; a youth section from ages zero to 18 years old with a theme of nesting for the budding artists and an adult section from 19 to 99 years old with an open art category.

Three prize sections were presented for the youth category, while a People’s Choice Award was presented for the adult artist section.

Opening night celebrations on Friday, January 14 officially launched the Castle Forbes Bay Art Exhibition, the ceremony was opened by Huon Valley Councillor Juarne Lovell and attended by Huon Valley Council Mayor Bec Enders.
