The third annual Huon and Kingston FM Toys for Tassie Kids Appeal has finished for 2021, with organisers overwhelmed by the donations and response from the Huon Valley community.
Salvation Army Huonville volunteer Christine Walker said that the community’s response to the Toy Appeal this year had been massive, with drop-off locations around the Huon Valley being inundated with toys.
“The response has been really impressive and I am so proud of the Huon Valley community,” Ms Walker expressed.
“Not only has there been a lot of donations this year, but the quality of the toys has increased dramatically, some toys have even come from a Lincraft store all the way in Victoria!”
Community organisations and businesses have also provided considerable support for the appeal, including major sponsor Bendigo Community Bank.
