Wine Tasmania has announced the finalists in its 2021 Tasmanian Wine List Award, with Geeveston restaurant, The Old Bank of Geeveston, one of the finalists named.
Following an application process, finalists in the 2021 Tasmanian Wine List of the Year competition have been selected and voting for the People’s Choice Best Tasmanian Wine List closed Monday, October 18, with winners to be announced on Monday, October 25.
Owners of finalist The Old Bank of Geeveston, Gerry Cruz and Diana Di Moia-Cruz said they were thrilled to be included as finalists.
The process behind the construction of their wine list has also been a labour of love, focusing on wines that would accompany food in their restaurant well.
“We went through expansive Tasmanian wines to choose and list what we believe truly enhances our food with emphasis on our game meat speciality,” Mr Cruz and Ms Di Moia-Cruz explained.
