Monday, September 13 to Wednesday, September 22 marked Zayed Huon Energy Futures Team’s Climate Week at Huonville High School.
A range of activities and events were planned at Huonville High, including a showcase of Tesla electric vehicles, a swap shop and a solar oven competition.
As a part of the solar oven competition, students built their own ovens that were then displayed and tested during lunchtime on Thursday, September 16.
Energy expert Dr John Todd was present on the day to provide a presentation of his own solar cookers and the temperatures they could reach while also using his skills for the judging of the competition.
