in Local News

In this week’s Huon News we catch up with Dover District School Prinicipal Tom Eastland to get an insight on where plans are at for the rollout of the Year 11 and 12 extension programme at the school in 2020.

We attend the launch of the Huon Valley’s first readers and writers festival to take place later this year and the switching on of the lights at Dark Huonville’s Paint the Town Red exhibition.

We chat to SETAC director Brad Strong regarding the State Government’s revised dual naming policy and what it means for regional Aboriginal organisations and to Housing Affordability Tasmania’s Peter Griep on a proposed new housing development in Geeveston.

In sport don’t miss our coverage of the SFLW representative match against the NTFA and the Huonville High School’s colour run.

We have all this and more in this week’s Huon News, hitting the newsstands at lunch time today and available by subscription online at 11am.
